The Watershed Planning + Partnership section is responsible for providing planning, collaboration, and outreach to enable Baltimore to meet its MS4 water quality goals of reducing impervious surfaces, treating stormwater, restoring streams, and greening neighborhoods. This includes:* Developing plans and strategies for implementing various stormwater management, green infrastructure, and trash reduction initiatives, including Baltimore's Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP).* Collaborating with city agencies, partner organizations, and stakeholders involved in water quality and restoration efforts, including the Urban Waters Federal Partnership, Healthy Harbor, Growing Green, and Watershed 263;* Developing and implementing an outreach and education strategy related to the City's stormwater and stream restoration efforts;* Coordinating and managing grants and reports to various agencies and to the public

Studio instructor in the Graduate Landscape Architecture Program. Courses include first and second year design studies (introduction to design, site planning, and public space design) as well as the lecture/seminar course "Design and Human Behavior".

Responsible for various landscape and green infrastructure projects within the office, including the Growing Green Initiative, Green Pattern Book, Federal Urban Waters Partnership liaison, and assisting with site plan review. He was also responsible for overseeing the UPWP stormwater mitigation project, which studied the use of vacant land for stormwater mitigation.

Responsibilities included coordinating and leading a series of pilot projects for testing the strategies on vacant properties and in capital projects.Cobalt ArchitectsArchitect responsible for the design and management of several projects including an expansion plan for St. Francis of Assisi School in Baltimore, scattered site affordable housing in Montgomery Count for Vesta, Inc., the renovation of a rowhouse for St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, and additions for two private residents.

Member of an appointed Advisory Panel to the Planning Director. Responsibilities included reviewing architectural plans, drawings, and other material and providing recommendations and guidance concerning major development projects in the city.

Served as Executive Director of a non-profit community design and planning center with offices located in Baltimore and Prince George’s County, MD. Responsibilities included:Advocating for community engagement, education, and empowerment in neighborhood development and open space planning, including leading community workshops, public meetings, and charrettes;Building partnerships and coalitions to advance neighborhood improvement efforts, including serving on various Advisory Committees, Boards, and Task Forces;Managing two offices with 5 – 8 staff members, 17+ person Board, 60 projects / year, and a $400,000+ yearly budget, including directing volunteer recruitment, recognition, and management of 200+ members who donated on average $100,000 in professional services each year;Coordinating fundraising, communication and marketing strategies through web site, monthly e-newsletters, and social media, including writing public and foundation grants, soliciting corporate and individual donations, and organizing fundraising events.

Taught a variety of lecture, seminar, and studio courses in the landscape architecture and architecture programs. As Program Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Landscape Architecture (1999 – 2000) was responsible for developing Program curriculum and professional relationships, coordinating courses and teaching assignments, student activities, and guest lectures, managing the Program budget and administrative reports, recruiting students, and writing grants.
