Mr. Cantrell joined the Alexandria Insights team in 2022. He brings over 40 years of military leadership, management, and technical experience; with 8 years as an infantry officer and 12 years of uniformed service in the command, control, computer, and communications (C4) field; followed by 14 years as an engineering services contractor. Over 26 years of experience at applying computer, communications, and systems engineering technology to military problems. Extensive experience in developing and using architecture descriptions for managing requirements analysis, system development, interoperability and integration. Practical experience in the use of modeling and simulation for analyzing communications network architectures. Graduate education emphasized artificial intelligence and expert systems, with thesis research focused on the use of neural networks for automatic speech recognition. Experience in the following computer programming languages: Ada, C, C++, Pascal, Lisp, MATLAB, and microcomputer assembly language. Cisco-certified (CCNA) in routing and switching, and teaches college-level CCNA networking courses at a Cisco Networking Academy. Experience at design, configuration, and management of computer networks. Demonstrated writing ability in both technical and non-technical subject areas.
