Provide direction to six Superintendents and oversee a staff of 87 FTE’s. Responsible for managing 12 residential colleges, 34 buildings and 2.8 million square feet of occupied building space. Allocate a 6.8 million dollar annual operating budget. Direct daily departmental operations to ensure the long term sustainability of the University’s physical assets. Evaluate existing facilities to identify maintenance and renewal needs and assist in the establishment of priorities and work plans for repairs, upgrades and renovation. Manage the campus’s utilities and their connected infrastructure and distribution systems to ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation. Initiate planning activities and develop work scopes for the replacement, upgrade and/or expansion of systems to provide reliable and adequate services for all users.
