I am a 4th generation builder and career construction and management professional. I worked my way up through various trades to create a solid base for understanding and managing construction projects of all sizes. I have built and managed projects from single residential houses and small commercial tenant fit outs to major retail/grocery stores, corporate offices and malls.While working in the construction industry I became acutely aware of the limitations and challenges with conventional building processes and assemblies. This led me to research and explore alternative methods both old and new. Having some educational background in chemistry and being an outdoorsman led me to seek out less toxic/ wasteful and more sustainable options long before it was popular.Being an early adopter and supporter of more sustainable alternatives to the conventional industry technologies led me into contact with many of the pioneers and internationally recognize experts in these evolving options and opportunities.By 2007 I was convinced the future of construction generally and residential housing most specifically would be found among the right combinations of technologies some existing and some evolving. It was during this period that many of the components of my research, experience and understanding started to distill into a vision of what that might look like.The rest as they say is history.Since that time I have devoted myself to working with various partners and expert consultants to collaboratively create and promote sustainable building technologies that will revolutionize the residential construction industry globally. My current passion is for globally abundant natural mineral based alternatives to Portland cement using geopolymer/nano-ceramic phase changed construction materials. The goal being to create and promote these sustainable technologies that can allow local domestic procurement in most global locations and provide supply options that will support local and regional housing materials supply security.
