Soft Machines is a semiconductor company co-developing VISC architecture-based processor and SoC products for all major performance computing platforms and has raised close to $175 million in funding to date. Corporate headquarters are in Santa Clara, California, U.S., with operations in India and Russia. Soft Machines investors include Samsung Ventures, AMD, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, RVC, KACST, RUSNANO, TAQNIA and others.

Managed the P&L, engineering, marketing, support and strategic planning of Broadcom’s low power multimedia processors targeting smart phones. Launched two generations of world-class low power VideoCore III and IV multimedia products with efficient organization. Landed key handset OEM platform design-wins at Nokia and other tier 1 OEMs. Lived and managed teams in Cambridge/UK and Sunnyvale/CA.

Responsible for P&L, product marketing, strategic planning, applications engineering, ecosystem enabling, sales development, and matrix management of product development teams. Grew StrongARM/XScale from $0 to several hundred $M/year. • Won key designs at Motorola, HTC, Palm, and Samsung and others.

Managed all marketing and support functions for cellular baseband and applications processors. Integrated handheld and baseband marketing departments into efficient cohesive team and re-prioritized roadmap which enabled IP re-use and savings.

Integrated Digital Equipment Corp's StrongARM team into Intel. Launched XScale Apps Processor product line targeting handhelds and smart phones.

Provided tactical and strategic support to Ron Smith, Corporate Vice President of the Computing Enhancement Group. Drove the content development of annual Board of Directors review, executive public speeches, customer presentations and provided group level marketing direction on positioning and strategy.

Key member of the team that led the marketing efforts for the PCI local bus, 486 PCI chipset, extremely successful Pentium “Triton” PCI chipset and 386 cache controllers.
