As part of the Distribution Team, my main duties are planning, organizing, directing, controls and coordination of the supply, storage and distribution of goods imported by an organisation. Forming part of the Cost Savings committee within the company, I also chair weekly meetings with the Operations Department to analyse trends and advise the company on cost-saving initiatives. During 2014 one of my cost-saving initiatives has saved the company a substantial amount of funds that were allocated to distribution vehicles petrol usage. My other duties are as follows: - Analysing distribution procedures to help ensure efficiency in deliveries. - Monitoring the ordering and distribution of products, parts and accessories. - Monitoring monthly stock control on selected brands, utilising stock taking methodology.- Maintaining contact with retailers on product delivery and with the merchandising department on the receiving of products.- Monitoring and evaluating the expectations and performances of the distribution staff utilising monthly appraisals and weekly performance conversations. - Staff scheduling to ensure a smooth and productive workforce is always maintained. - The training of new staff members in line with internal policies and procedures. - The Support and Implementation of performance management techniques. - Ensuring that health and Safety Regulations are adhered to, making sure that all staff members work in a safe environment in line with E.U. Regulations and ISO standards. - Having an active role in the cost savings committee that effectively suggests and implements cost saving initiatives across the Warehouse Department. - The administration of order and stock control via dedicated stock Control systems utilised by the company. - Reviewing stock levels and liaising with the Purchasing Department about stock control.
