I left school at 16 and went on a youth training scheme where I worked as a scaffolder, I stayed in this industry for 12 years and at aged 28 changed my career path by becoming a revenue inspector working for transport for London. At the age of 35 I decided to join the police it was a bit risky as I was now a team leader in my role and on a good salary but I felt I really could make a difference and could help people who were in crisis, I have now been a police officer for over 20 years and I still love the job I am passionate about helping people fulfil their true potential I have worked in youth engagement which has enabled me to break barriers between youth and police an example of this is visiting secondary schools in partnership with Transport for London where we carry out presentations about unwanted sexual attention on public transport. In the time I have been carrying out this work I have engaged with over 10000 young people something which I am immensely proud of and something I would like to develop in other parts of the country I am a very strong presenter I am friendly and approachable and during my work within schools I have had a great deal of disclosures In my personal life I have had up and downs. I have reached out for help when it was required and I have now completed my first counselling course which is very helpful in not just my job but in my own and other’s lives I like to be active I play Tennis, Badminton, snooker and Golf I also go to the gym a few times a week. I also love to cook and if I had my time again I’d love to train to be a chefI will be retiring from the police in July 2026 and look forward to what retirement brings Anyway thanks for reading
