Undertaking the Management of all the Companies Railway Access, in particular fulfil the role of ‘Responsible Manager’ under NR/L2/OHS/019 including possession planning; railway access planning and consultancy work on specific projects. Managing both the permanent & temporary staff requirements for providing Railway access (SSOW) within the company, co-ordinating the work of contractors and Network Rail. Assisting the CM in developing the Site Services Team within the Business and ensuring Operations are carried out safely. Preparing Access strategies in support of Project Fee Bids. Reviewing and briefing staff on NWR, RSSB and Rule Book Changes. Reviewing and briefing staff on any relevant external newsletters related to Rail Safety.Verifying SSOW plans and managing briefing of the SSOW plans to all COSS / IWA.Reviewing SSOW plans supplied by Clients / Principal Contractors against company and industry standards where railway access is provided outside of the Tata Steel Project’s railway access planning team.Arranging, managing and allocating protection staff from the Framework resource to achieve the SSOW plan.Preparing and delivering Toolbox Talks where required as well as COSS & PTS workshops in capacity as Professional Head of Railway Safety. Reviewing internal competency levels for Railway Safety/Safety Critical Works.Supporting safety investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses that may arise on the railway infrastructure and developing action plans to prevent re-occurrence. Managing and undertaking On Call duty’s for the company. Acting as Company Hand back engineer when required & liaising with maintenance for all works on NWR property. Organising correct attendance for all walk outs to make sure the correct disciplines attend and liaising with all disciplines required within the company. Arranging and managing the company’s internal safety critical staff’s assessments and training as required and identify any training requirements.

Part of the operational delivery management team on the (25kv) project reporting to the project manager.Responsible for design, construction, delivery into service of new free issue switching equipment. New SCADA and pilots, HV cable installation including terminations, commissioning and Demolition and recoveries of 24 sites.Ensured all method statements and lifting plans were completed for the lifting operations of all the D.P.D,s and Bradgate buildings for the project.• From a company perspective, provided support and advice and in terms of the engineering disciplines, competencies & standards required in undertaking such work.

• Responsible for ensuring all work was undertaken in accordance with the health and safety at work act, relevant legislation and technical and safety standards.• Ensured all contract staff, plant & tools, equipment, possessions, worksites, & Daggered speeds & cover speeds, T2s, Rimini, isolations, planning of consistence of all trains (i.e.) H.0.B.C and all support trains.• Acquired level 4 hand back Engineer, 4 day first aid at work, P.P.S and N.R.0.L course for Inputting on to the Network Rail system, High Output Management course, Supervisory Management Development Programme course, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health course (Managing Safely), Core Planning skills level 2 course & Fire safety awareness

Acting as Delivery Manager on the Possession Management for Network Rail. Also responsible for minor works contracts including the entire station civils works contract to Bailey Construction on the LUL underground Depots i.e. Queens Park Depot and Northumberland Park Depot.

Carried out various duties as a Site Manager and as a Delivery Manager. Also passed Machine crane Controller, T.C.M, Barrier Attendant, Points Operator, Slinger Banks man, T.Q.S, E.S and S.P.I.C.0.P courses whilst in this position.
