Currently a Graduate Structural Design Engineer (MEng) at Design ID Consulting Ltd. In 2021/22, I completed a 15-month placement with Design ID where I gained a growing passion for structural design and analysis. During my Final Year at QUB, I completed 2No. semester-long group structural designs, encompassing the scheme and detailed design of both a steel and concrete frame respectively.I’m proficient in using Tekla Tedds and MasterSeries structural analysis software, for both frame and connection design, as well as IDEA StatiCa and Fischer FIXPERIENCE for complex steel connection and anchor designs. I am also skilled in using AutoCAD to produce high-quality GA's and details, allowing me to both design and detail projects.I continue to improve myself professionally, having won several awards during my time at QUB. These include the:- Hugh Turtle Prize for Best Performance Among MEng students for my individual research project (dissertation) in Stage 3;- Institution of Structural Engineers Prize for Best Performance in all stages of the Structural Engineering degree programme;- Creagh Concrete Structural Design Prize for Stage 4.Recently, I placed 1st in the IStructE NI Graduate Competition (2023) and 2nd in the regional ICE Emerging Engineers Award (2022).
