Key responsibilities entailed mission integration, formation, workplace spirituality and chaplaincy, community health planning/benefits, patient relations, clinical and organizational ethics, and McAuley rural health clinic. Managed $6.5M budget and 51-member team. + Led culture integration for merger of hospital and medical clinics system.+ Provided ongoing leadership formation for boards, executives, physicians, emerging leaders, and co-workers. Architected and managed ongoing monthly formation for 74 medical clinics.+ Transformed patient relations through metrics and competition among departments to turn around hospital patient satisfaction performance from bottom tier of 31 mercy hospitals to top 10% in 10 months. Initiated Concierge program.+ Transformed McAuley Rural Health Clinic into the only fully comprehensive, medical home model in Mercy Health System serving the rural poor and uninsured. - Grew clinic from 16,000 to 27,000 patient encounters in 2 years. Added behavioral health and dental service lines to adult, pediatric and women’s health service lines.- Strategized mechanisms to ensure long term financial sustainability of Clinic. Recruited by Mercy Corporate leadership and loaned for 8 months to subsidiary Mercy Family Center to lead a turn-around of the behavioral health clinic system serving Greater New Orleans. An established behavioral health system, MFC emerged as the mental health safety net for children and families post-Katrina. + Performed due diligence to isolate systemic issues and financial challenges.+ Instituted restructure of medical delivery system, services, productivity and operations + Shaped culture to align with mission, core values, and Mercy identity. + Renovated HR, operations, finance, systems through personnel changes and utilization of Mercy resources + Within 8 months, turned negative run rate of ($125K) to $70K bottom line+ Recruited FTE CEO, structured ongoing MFC Management Team, and instituted integration with Mercy Health System processes and functions.

Division of Catholic Health Partners, CMHP was a merger of a Catholic hospital, two community hospitals, 35 outpatient facilities and 4 long term care facilities into a $425M operation. Responsible for a $2.05M budget and 40-member team, to deliver mission integration, pastoral care, spiritual care; 6 outpatient clinics; community benefit and outreach: and foundation.+ Re-organized mission integration, pastoral care, ethics, community benefit, community outreach programs, board, leadership, and managers formation programs+ Operated 6 community outreach clinics serving 21,000 poor and marginalized. New tactics improved effectiveness, showing 23% gain in margin and 5.3 ROI+ Initiated Foundation planning for $10M capital campaign for new hospital+ Upgraded community benefit reporting and programs resulting in overall community benefit of 8.42%

Recruited to develop State and Federal applications for PACE HMO (a social model Health Maintenance Organization for Frail Elderly) including startup operational plan. The plan included capital funding, budgeting, staffing, transportation, health and social services, and day care center. Organized startup operations, interorganizational service arrangements, financing, legislative and regulatory affairs.

Seton, an affiliate of Ascension Health, was a 50-year-old institution in inner Kansas City, serving 18,000 poor children and adults through an alternative high school, dental and medical clinics, senior and adult day care, child care, pantry, thrift store, legal clinic, and social services. Operations consisted of $3.2M budget, 7 programs, 7 direct reports, 30 coworkers, 70 volunteers.+ Develop and implement mission integration programs for Seton Center.+ Instigated operational turnaround from $67K loss to $91K profit in 9 months through cost reductions, increased productivity, accountability, improvements in accounts payable, and new revenue generation+ Organized growth in services to the poor by growing Dental Clinic 34% and Alternative High School by 27%+ Acted as interim principal of Seton Alternative High School.
