An experienced MEP and sustainability professional with over 20 years’ experience in the leadership of engineering and sustainability teams throughout the World. I focus on technical excellence, innovation and building relationships, I thrive on winning work, doing an outstanding job and delivering successful projects. As a consultant, I provide thought leadership and act as a trusted adviser to clients. I stay abreast of the latest global policies, technologies and trends so that I can offer the most up to date advice. I have developed a deep understanding of building physics, passive design, low carbon technologies and innovative MEP systems and am an advocate for the use of detailed analysis tools to inform all aspects of design. I fully understand the process to work towards net zero carbon for both new and existing developments.My career includes the leadership of engineering and sustainability teams in the design and delivery of a number of complex projects throughout the Middle East, Australia, Asia and the UK. I was one of the pioneers for the sustainable design of modern buildings and developments in Australia including CH2 in Melbourne, which is still considered to be one of the greenest buildings in the World. I was a key contributor in the development of Australia’s sustainability benchmarking tools and have developed sustainability frameworks for many significant developments.I have worked closely with a number of major property development companies in the Middle East to reduce the carbon footprint of their developments and create spaces that maximise health, wellbeing and comfort. I have been responsible for the design and installation of low carbon MEP technologies such as chilled beams, displacement ventilation, renewable energy systems and sea water cooling. Recently, I was wholly responsible for the strategy, master-planning and infrastructure design of a new smart sustainable city near Phnom Penh, Cambodia with a focus on technology, smart mobility, carbon and the circular economy. My passions are project delivery, sustainability and digital technology. My focus has always been to deliver projects that are technically excellent and maximise efficiency in design and operation. I have taken a leadership role in the use of the latest technologies including Building Information Modelling (BIM) and parametric modelling.I believe that we all have a responsibility to innovate and design more sustainable developments and that consultants have a responsibility to inform and educate their clients into making more sustainable choices.
