A commercially driven advisory services professional, holding in excess of fifteen years of experience in the Banking, Payment Services and FinTech/PayTech sectors, locally and internationally. Mark is currently the CRO and CCO at financial technology firm Intercash Financial Services Ltd. Mark also sits as a Board Advisor to a number of local and international businesses advising on various matters including on business performance, governance, risk, regulation and innovation. Mark is a former Director at KPMG Malta, responsible for the firm’s Banking and Fintech Advisory services arm of the Malta practice. He was one of the firm’s first cross-functional Financial Services industry specialists responsible for commercials, business development and regulatory compliance mandates. Amongst other key roles, Mark represented KPMG at the network’s ECB Office, the KPMG Global DLT Working Group and sits on the Board of the local Financial Institutions Malta Association. He also co-lead the firm’s EmTech and FinTech regulatory teams. He also spent nine years working for global Significant Credit Institution HSBC in Malta, Spain and United Kingdom.
