I started Photo Typewriter in October 2012 and have opened a shop in Camden Market and a website (www.phototypewriter.com). Despite opening during a recession, we're still here and going strong after our first year. I have aspirations to open 2 more stores this year whilst constantly developing the website.The principle of the product is a hard one to describe. I've photographed over a thousand everyday objects, from bridges to baked beans, at an angle that makes them appear to a letter.Both the shop and the website allow you to create and frame any name or word with letters from our fabulous black and white letter gallery and the finished piece is a fully customised, beautifully framed and unique piece of art.Being Director of my own company has brought with it fresh challenges, given me a platform for my more creative side and a more appealing effort vs reward structure - I'm loving it!
