We like to make awesome things that solve problems.Our first creation is Houdini - an app to help you transfer playlists from one music streaming service to another. I primarily focus on the AWS backend and the matching algorithm, along with other bits and pieces involved in helping to run a business. I spent a year in the platforms org where I worked on large data pipelines in the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Pig, MapReduce, Oozie) responsible for providing the data necessary for the Personalization algorithms that power Yahoo's homepage. Additionally, I helped to design and implement near-real-time streaming pipeline (Storm, HBase) which contributed to Yahoo's ad-targeting opt-out system.In July 2015 I was selected to the Engineering Associate program, an accelerated growth program for top engineers at Yahoo. I then spent a year focusing on improving our email clustering technology as part of a cross-functional effort across several teams in Sunnyvale and around the globe.After completing my first rotation, I began my second rotation working on the Flurry Analytics SDK as an iOS engineer. I worked on a new feature for the iOS SDK for around 5 months before leaving the company
