Sustained and supported growth in production from $50 million in sales to over $460 million. Provided support to engineering during product development as well as representation for Production/Assembly in product development over this growth period.* General responsibilities for the manufacturing engineer were: Continuous improvement through key performance indicators, maintaining assembly line equipment and tools; conducting biannual safety inspections; organizing annual audits of BOMs (Bill of Material) and maintaining work instructions. Efficiency improvement by reducing labor 3% to 5% per year by means of line balancing, new tooling, administered annual time study evaluation, strengthened internal process control, and continuous elimination of waste through lean principles and tools, performed firm execution of continuous improvement capital projects. As a manufacturing engineer I was tasked with sustaining engineering (fixing design or assembly problems) to improve internal and external quality of product.
