With over thirty years of experience in information technology, founding member and managing director of SOLUTIONS CONNEXION, Mark Dane, specialises in developing individual solutions that are tailor make for each of his clients.A business analyst, he holds a National Diploma in Computer Data Processing. His considerable experience in the corporate sector has enabled him to identify gaps and typical procedural and productivity challenges that face both manager and employers face daily. However, it is his learnings through the ‘University of Life’ that have given him an innate ability to connect with people and to provide meaningful solutions. Born with cerebral palsy (caused by oxygen deprivation during birth), he has learnt to both persevere and innovate in order to do many of the daily tasks that others take for granted. As a result, he has built a career as both an entrepreneur and a property investor with achievements that include building an architectural masterpiece on KwaZulu Natal’s North Coast. Drawing on his experience in both the corporate world and his own computer training school, Mark established his first information technology systems company, Mark Dane International (MDi) in 2001. He built a strong business foundation in Australia and South Africa with user friendly, cost effective, innovative business software applications. His personal mantra “there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome” has since played out in his creation of SOLUTIONS CONNEXION which packages a range of solutions and services that not only identify skills related short comings but offer meaningful solutions in the form of administrative support, training and one-on-one computer coaching.

In addition to a number of commercially based products already in the market, we specialise in developing customised database management systems which streamline essential business processes. Using a combination of our own tools and Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server technologies, we deliver a flexible and adaptive end-user experience. TRAININGWe are affiliated with accredited INSETA training providers and can assist with skills development in end user computer skills. This includes training on pc operating systems, word processing and spread sheets. We feel that skills development supports streamlining of computer based processes and increases productivity. In addition to providing training on the use of custom built Solutions Connexion systems, we are also supply a range of training manuals which are available online. We provide one-on-one training and mentoring for novice users, corporate executives, more mature learners and workers with special needs.
