• Providing project management services and act as municipal representative during the execution of building projects with specific focus new buildings, office alterations and contractor maintenance.
• Implementing project procurement by utilizing the appropriate contract and follow tender processes in accordance with supply chain management policy to appoint consultants and contractors.
• Keeping abreast with project management and implementation developments by studying appropriate reports and literature on best practices, nationally and internationally.
• Liaising with the engineers, senior technicians and consultants to obtain a detail understanding of the scope of works of the different projects that must be implemented and the expected outcomes.
• Participating in meetings and seeking clarity and advice on relevant project implementing issues.
• Liaising with the immediate superior and client department to define baseline performance measures against which the performance of the projects can be measured. (time, cost, etc.)
