I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company's accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, and finance functions for the tile shop. Since joining the Company, I've made significant investments to help control expenses, strengthen internal controls, and improve relationships with both internal and external partners.The Tile Shop is a growing retailer with approximately 140 stores across 31 states. We're a publicly traded company with approximately $350 million in revenue and 1,500 employees. I sincerely enjoy working for a smaller company where have the opportunity to help shape the company's strategy and convey the company's messages to our investors.

I held several roles during my time with Target. I started as the Manager of the External Financial Reporting team where I was responsible for overseeing the preparation of the Company's SEC filings, technical accounting research, corporate accounting functions (i.e. - treasury, benefits, share based compensation), and managed a team of 8-10. After one year in this role, I moved over to the Inventory Accounting and Analysis team where I held the role of an Accounting Manager. I was responsible for managing a team of 6-8 who were accountable for all aspects of Target's inventory accounting policies including the book and tax LIFO calculation, the application of the retail inventory method of accounting, and purchase accounting for matters pertaining to inventory valuation. During my time with the Inventory Accounting and Analysis team, I also took on a role of a Project Manager where I helped with a broader effort to integrate our store operations with our website to build capabilities making it possible to order products online & pickup the order in a store and order online and ship from a store location. In this role, I helped define the requirements needed to develop the financial integration between our web and brick and motor inventory systems. I helped develop a project plan, identify milestones, define risks, develop solutions, and communicate updates to other Finance leaders at Target.

As a Senior Manager at KPMG, I was responsible for managing audit engagements of public and private companies. Most of my clients were Consumer Products companies in the Food and Beverage, Retail, or Manufacturing sectors. I managed engagement teams ranging from 3-15 professionals and worked with clients who had a wide range of financial acumen. I was accountable for overseeing the development of an audit plan and my team's execution against the plan. In this role, I had the opportunity to work through numerous technical accounting issues involving purchase accounting, equity accounting, revenue recognition, leases, inventory, and derivatives.
