Zaandam

Strategic urban mobility planning.Responsible for setting up Zaanstad's new Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan 2040 (see weblink below). The vision intends to reach a mobility transition, to keep Zaanstad accessibe while growing fast, increasing chances for all inhabitants and brecoming CO2-neutral.Participant in Zaanstad's new Strategic Platform, that gives integral advices within the physical domain, e.g. on starting new spatial developments, prioirtizing policy development or investments, orgaisational chenges meant to better cope with the changing city, etc.Co-operation with Green Business Club Zaanstad on sustainable business related mobility (personal and freight transport).Participation in ZaanIJ-corridor, the study on how to improve PT between Zaandam and Amsterdam. This is necessary to facilitate responsible development in the North of Amsterdam and in Zaandam, which leads to intensified links between both cities.Representing Zaanstad in regional mobility co-ooperations: Vervoerregio Amsterdam (Werkgroep Verkeer & Vervoer), Zaanstreek-Waterland, Samen Bouwen aan Bereikbaarheid etc.
