Currently working as DevOps Engineer Leading a DevOps transformation group in developing a DevOps vision and implementing a roadmap including a DevOps scorecard, model CI/CD pipeline, standard service platform, and team service ownership. This involves coordinating and working with Dev Teams, QA, Security, Network Engineering, Operations, and DBA’s.Also designed and developed services in Azure and on-prem using Azure using Kubernetes (AKS), Nomad, Docker, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Azure DevOps, Octopus, Gitlab, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef , Linux (RHEL/Centos, Ubuntu), and VMWare.Worked as software engineer and Linux systems engineer for email encryption products including a Linux-based encryption gateway appliance, web portal, and Microsoft Outlook plugin using Bash, Perl, Java, C++, C, CSS, Javascript.

Technical Architect responsible for claims processing systems built on Microsoft .NET / C#. Played a significant role introducing Agile practices (Scrum, TDD, FitNesse).

Led the data modeling and data migration effort of a large life insurance application from mainframe to SQL Server 2K using DTS packages and T-SQL stored procedures. Designed and developed ASP.NET applications, client (JavaScript) and server (C#), with stored procedures (T-SQL).

Designed and implemented features for the FTM/XML product in Java. Specifically DTD visualization and editing using Java Swing as well as object persistence through JDBC to a RDBMS.Acted as Clearcase administrator and was responsible for all build procedures using make files, Unix shell scripts, and InstallShield. Also aided in Unix system administration for Solaris, HP-UX, and AIX boxes.

Responsible for design and implementation of a machine vision systems including a Chocolate Refiner Supervision machine vision system in Germany. Acted as Systems Engineer coordinating software, hardware, and optics. Written in C++ Builder on Windows NT controlling real-time acquisition, storage, and display of refiner images with calculation/graphing of percent coverage.Designed and implemented a custom C++ Builder multi-threaded component controlling real-time acquisition of line-scan images from a frame grabber. Prototyped an application (COM client) interfaced to an ABB control system through OLE for Process Control (OPC).Developed and maintained a Visual Basic statistical process control (SPC) application interfaced though DDE to a Wonderware application and an Allen Bradley PLC in an industrial environment.
