    The Everyman and Playhouse Theatres are two of the most famous and iconic theatres outside London. The Liverpool Everyman Theatre was completely rebuilt in 2014 including a state of the art IT infrastructure with a budget of £27m, and was the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize winner.Responsibilities:• Managing and support the IT systems and infrastructure across two venues, including EMC SANs, Cisco Network Switches, IBM, HP and Dell Servers, SonicWALL Firewalls. • Project managing major IT projects and critical mini projects. • Network and Systems security, including PCI DSS certification and Data Protection Act.• Monitoring and maintaining all business critical IT systems and software packages. • Supporting 120+ members of staff, visiting theatre groups, corporate and private events• Responsible for all IT purchases including, maintenance contracts, hardware & software purchases, telephony, infrastructure and cloud services. • Delivery of staff IT training. Project Work/Achievements: • Successfully negotiated, designed, and project managed the deployment and migration to new IT infrastructure of the new Everyman Theatre. Included the design of all IT systems components, including networks, storage, compute, security systems and software packages. Negotiated and oversaw the complete tender process and awarding of contracts with many external suppliers and vendors. Successfully delivered the full IT infrastructure solution and migration of all users to the new system meeting all deadlines. • Creation and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with PCI DSS and Data Protection Act policies. • Successful deployment of a Hyper-V failover cluster containing 30 virtualised servers. • Managed and secured data access from multiple locations such as VPNs, and different physical and wireless networks utilising vLANs and firewalls to ensure data security but also to allow users to access data and systems required to perform their roles.
