Lead Engineer in a five-member Windows Enterprise Engineering group responsible for 800+ Windows 2000, Windows 2003 servers and 10,000+ clients worldwide with an Active Directory infrastructure consisting of an empty forest root and single child domain with 37 domain controllers.• Designed and implemented an SMS infrastructure with one root, five child parent servers, 100 secondary SMS servers supporting 400+ operating locations worldwide, achieving 80%+ patch compliance within 48 hours of release worldwide. Achieved a Microsoft rating of ”Very Healthy” during an Microsoft Systems Management Server Health Check in July 2009.• Provided operational support for SMS infrastructure and clients improving system patch compliance, centralization of software deployments and provided hardware/software inventory for statistical analysis of utilization, reducing support costs and effectively managing software licensing.• Spearheaded significant improvements in monitoring, problem resolution, and operational documentation for Active Directory, ensuring a healthy and stable environment. Achieved a Microsoft rating of ”Active Directory environment is at low risk” during an Active Directory Risk Assessment and Health Check in March 2009.• Identified/submitted 100+ new viruses to anti-virus vendors, minimizing outbreaks, loss of productivity and remediation costs. • Established recovery plans, backup schemes and quarterly testing plans for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMS and Anti-virus, ensuring validity of backups and recovery plans. • Managed desktop/server budget of 4.5 million dollars during Year 2000 project. Managed SMS implementation budget of 150 thousand dollars and infrastructure server replacement project budget of 200 thousand dollars.
