I am a highly motivated and experienced CIPFA qualified professional with management responsibility for multi-disciplinary teams. I have extensive local government knowledge and have excellent technical accounting skills. I have over 10 years’ experience of being a S151 or Deputy S151 Officer.I am currently the Deputy S151 Officer at North Northamptonshire Council. I was previously the Section 151 Officer at Kettering Borough Council and I was the Vice President of the Society of District Council Treasurers (SDCT) which represents the interests of the District Councils on a national level. I have represented the Districts on national working groups including Business Rates Retention System Design and the Fair Funding Review and represented the Districts at the Association of Local Authorities Treasurers Society (ALATS).I have excellent Medium-Term Financial Planning skills, which have been integral to setting balanced budgets. I have extensive knowledge of the Collection Fund including Business Rates Retention, Housing Revenue Account, Treasury Management and the production of the Statement of Accounts.I have had a leading role in local government reorganisation across North Northamptonshire in bringing four districts together along with the disaggregation of the former County Council in shaping how finance is delivered across the new Unitary Council.I have an influential demeanour and motivational attitude.
