The show created “home movies” made for the production. The movies had to be precisely synced with the live music so the actors onstage and the actors on film were speaking/singing simultaneously.

The show took notes found by actual people, musicalized them, and told a fictional version of the founding of the magazine. Heavy use of projections - both still and animated. Timing of animated finds had to be coordinated with the performing of live singing and music.

Starring Rebecca Hall, Michael Cumpsty, and Morgan Spencer. Very challenging set by Es Devlin. Involved a rotating cube with 12 manually moved walls which could change room size and cube configuration. Many times the set/furniture/practical electrics had to be changed while the cube was rotating and the cast was moving from room to room. I also PSM’d (and helped restage the show) when it was performed at The Ahmanson (Center Theatre Group) in Los Angeles. -

Also, we worked with Foy to create Mary Poppins’ final flight over the audience as well as Bert’s upside-down walk around the Proscenium. Involved developing and rehearsing safety protocols and emergency procedures which were approved by the Department of Labor. -
