Very challenging set by Es Devlin. Involved a rotating cube with 12 manually moved walls which could change room size and cube configuration. Many times the set/furniture/practical electrics had to be changed while the cube was rotating and the cast was moving from room to room. Also, we worked with Foy to create Mary Poppins’ final flight over the audience as well as Bert’s upside-down walk around the Proscenium. Involved developing and rehearsing safety protocols and emergency procedures which were approved by the Department of Labor.
