Promote and develop sales of the Elliott Tool Technologies range of roller burnishing, internal grooving and mechanical joining tools across Europe, ME and Australia by establishing a network of distributors.

"Living a Dream" - it was now or never so took on the role of Chalet Host with my wife for the ski season. We were in Courchevel 1650, France running a 12 person chalet serving breakfast and a 3-course evening meal. In between work we spent our time on the slopes or enjoying the fabulous scenery in the Alps.The experience has given me additional insight working with guests from 1 to 80 years old and an understanding of the hospitality industry.

I was asked to move into the Mollart machine tool division which manufactures Deep Hole Drilling machines used in automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, mould & die, medical, gun barrel and other primarily metal cutting industries where holes over 10:1 Ø to length ratio are required.Key responsibilities are the sale and support of machines globally, organisation of exhibitions in Europe, USA and some of Asia, and working with other departments to assist scheduling work from our suppliers and through manufacture.Alongside this new role I will continue to oversee sales and technical support activities within the tooling division.I have also been tasked to oversee marketing activities within the business, part of which was the creating of a new website www.mollart.com

Responsible for sales, marketing, purchasing and technical design and support of metal cutting tools associated with reaming, boring, burnishing, de-burring and deep hole drilling,over seeing year-on-year sales growth. Covered UK and export sales working with distributors primarily across Europe and also in Asia and Australia. Liaised with suppliers making overseas visits to negotiate contracts and discuss product development.Organised major exhibitions at MACH (UK), EMO (Germany) & IMTS (USA) designing the stands and then working with builders to achieve the desired results. Also managed smaller exhibitions in UK and overseas. Mollart also asked me to take on some responsibility for the sales of the Deep Hole Drilling machines they manufacture.

Joined Kennametal as their Reaming & Fine Boring specialist for UK & Europe offering a technical support role to the sales and design teams in UK & Germany.During this period I was also asked to manage their UK reamer production facility overseeing 20 employees and transitioning the necessary skill sets to the sister German facility.

Director & part-owner re-establishing Bencere with my partners from nothing into a multi-million pound business.From being a reseller of product in our early days, we started our own manufacturing facility designing and making precision cutting tools designed around the production of holes. One key product was a high precision adjustable reamer that we patented and allowed us to achieve sustainable growth over the following years.My initial role within Bencere was to establish the business by generating sales in the UK and then Europe which included a marketing function and arranging exhibitions around the world including UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and America.As the business grew my role developed from a sales role to one managing the day to day running of the business with specific responsibility for sales, finance, H&S and personnel, and ultimately the manufacturing side of the business.In December 2006 the reaming and manufacturing aspects of the business were sold to one of our main customers Kennametal, Inc; and the Bencere agency business continued as a seperate entity.
