Field Sales Position (Recruitment Department)After an internal telesales role I then took the role of Field Sales Representative (external sales) within the Recruitment Team and more recently the Motors Team, both these roles have allowed me to meet clients face-to face selling different specialist products. I was also given more responsibility designing, planning and selling my own specialist supplements throughout the year as well as training new starters to the team.A large part of the role within the recruitment section involved our annual recruitment exhibition, where I was assigned the task of co-ordinating the events in January 2007 and 2008.It was my responsibility to arrange the venue and catering as well as plan and implement the promotional campaigns to both exhibitors and jobseekers. I was also responsible for selling the 40+ stands available as well as regularly communicating with the stand holders in order to arrange their own promotional material appearing in the newspapers and the event guide. Field Sales Position (Motors Department)My more recent position in the Motors department gave me the opportunity to work in a given territory attracting new customers and maintaining good relations with current ones working towards my own individual sales target. This widened my experience of selling into our large portfolio of publications and dealing with a variety of clients from large national dealers to small local garages. In additional I was also involved with the Organisation of the Two Counties Motor Show which is an event the Cambridge News support. Show less
