FusionStorm was acquired by Computacenter in October 2018.As a Principal Solutions Architect, some of my main responsibilities were:- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management team to identify and create winning salesstrategies and new customer opportunities.- Communicate FusionStorm’s value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients,including executive ''C'' level management, VP, and Director levels, and end-users.- Develop long-term customer relationships with clients through managing and interpreting theirrequirements.- Interact with Solutions Architects, other Engineers, and vendors to create solutions to meet thecustomer’s needs.- Recommend new technologies, best practices, and tools that support the growth of the business.- Work with vendors to understand road maps and changes to products and technologies, and thepotential impacts on the business and clients.- Rapidly learn new technologies and paradigms.- Provide technical project leadership of multiple projects.- Mentor other Engineers.

I have joined the company at its interception as a network/network security architect, and what a journey this was! This is not very often you get an opportunity to build the IT infrastructure from scratch, implementing your vision, building and leading the Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Infrastructure Security teams through many technology iterations as the company was growing to become a very successful $1B+ global enterprise.
