Mine Operations Superintendent-Ore Handling Baffinland Iron Mines at Mary River and Milne Inlet Sites Aug. 2013-Jan. 2016 Maintenance and re­construction of 100 km access road from mine site to port to accommodate 140T B­train ore trucks.  Construction of earth work projects, ore dock construction, ore laydown pad, ore sediment ponds, waste soil land farm, and ship loader construction pad.  Oversee quarry operations for development of suitable building and crushable construction material.  Manage crushing of aggregates for construction projects.  Manage crushing of ore to BIM specifications.  Manage a fleet of 39­ 140 T B­Trains from the Mine site to the port.  Manage stockpiling of ore at the Port in preparation for deliveries during ice free conditions.  Load ore onto 75,000 ton ships during shipping Season.  Develop and implement new standard operating procedures pertaining to ore handling department.  Hiring and scheduling of new employee’s.  Development and implementation of regular training and safety programs for all new and current employees. Development and assessment of new employees on equipment. Coordinate with external contractors and engineers to complete earth work projects.  Mentor and guide supervisors in daily operations in safety and production.  OHSC co-chairman Monitor and manage daily safety and production results, deliver corrective actions or discipline if necessary  Dispatch and monitor production of ore haul trucks  Dispatch and monitor of road maintenance equipment  Ensure equipment maintenance schedule is adhered to Ensure all costs are in line within the set budget  Assist in developing annual budget for ore handling department  Proficient in Excel, Word and SAP Experience.

Mine Operations Superintendent William Day Construction for St. Andrew Goldfields at Hislop Open Pit Project 2003-2013 Develop gold mine open pit from the planning phase to production phase. Work with St. Andrew Goldfields employees to retrieve require mill tonnes of ore.  Comply with William Day Construction and St. Andrew Goldfields company policies and procedures related to mining operations.  Hire and supervise over 50 production and maintenance staff.  Coordinate with St. Andrew Goldfield's management and engineers to support operations consisting of drilling and blasting. Manage all drilling and blasting activities through the drill blast contractor  Manage mining equipment maintenance.  Manage production of load haul dump of waste and ore during operational phase.  Manage all dewatering of the open pit. Manage the crushing of all construction material and ore to the specifications of the client.  Manage the ore haul deliveries to the mill.  Develop and implement regular training and safety programs for all employees and monitor. Implement and ensure all safety programs are being followed and monitor performance and implement discipline if necessary.  Manage all personnel issue’s as they arise.  Ensure all costs are in line within the set budget.
