My career in the Fire & Safety Industry began in 1980 as an offshore fire protection systems and portable fire extinguishers installer, inspector, and performed service and sales. I worked a total of twelve years in the Gulf of Mexico in the fire safety industry.I begin working on land based systems throughout Louisiana in the fire suppression industry. Installing, servicing and inspecting fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential buildings. Exceptional organizational and management skills propelled my ascension into enforcement of the industry at the state level.After 20+ years in the fire safety industry I began working for the Office of the Louisiana State Fire Marshal as Deputy State Fire Marshal. I performed investigations for the licensing section regulating licensed contractors and their employees. As a deputy I became a fire (arson) investigator and investigated multiple fire scenes.Our Emergency Response Team begin in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I helped develop SOG’s, SOP’s and multiple agency forms for the team. I soon became a Squad Leader for the State Fire Marshal Emergency Response Team and was deployed multiple times for hurricanes, tornados and flooding, etc.My commitment to excellence, industry knowledge and outstanding service have made me a professional leader, and an asset to any organization.
