I am pursuing a career in Counseling Psychology at NIU and would love the opportunity for hands-on experience! When I received my associate's degree, I realized I was the first in my family to acquire a college education in America. I'm the first to pursue more than an associate degree, and I've had to learn new things along the winding path to my career in psychology. I've learned how to motivate those around me, and to organize and manage my peers. I have counseled my peers and some individuals at the senior home I currently work, taking careful measures to make sure those I'm speaking with know I care and am there to help.
