Established Carolina Region standards for the delivery of fiber and RF based Business Class Services including fiber based services, BCE, PRI over fiber, PRI over DOCSIS and related services. Provided engineering and leadership for the successful launch of “Free to Guest HD” (Pro:Idiom) video solution across the Carolinas. This included design of the RF combining, QAM configurations, and optical plant design. I also established procedures for the proper Engineering of the customer site and activation and tuning of the customer’s televisions. Provided strategic leadership and direction to the Corporate Time Warner Tools Group for the development of the “Commercial Monitoring” tool (CMON) to actively monitor Business Class Circuits both in the Carolinas and across Time Warner’s foot print. Designed the tool to interfaces with IBM NetCool to provide alarm enrichment and Granite to pull in circuit IDs, network design and customer data. The tool was launched across the Time Warner footprint. Provided strategic leadership to budget and design a 2nd Regional Transport Network ROADM exit point for each of the Carolina Markets.

Provide all Engineering oversight for the Design, Installation and Operation of a 30+ node MPLS based $7,000,000 Metro Ethernet (Dedicated Access) Network. The network includes over 1,200 end points and +20 Cisco 6509s. I also maintain a 7.5 Gig SONET network throughout North and South Carolina. Engineered the deployment of the Advanced Analog Video, Pegasus Digital Video, Road Runner Cable Modem service, Sea Change based Video On Demand, and ISA VOD conversion for the entire Division. This included all network design, prepared all BOM’s and PA’s, and supervising the employees and contractors performing the work. Coordinate all FCC matters and ensure system compliance with technical standards and specifications for the 14 systems that make up the 13,000 miles, 33 hub Raleigh Division. This included writing the proof procedures in use today and overseeing all Proof activities, 320 filings, technical audits and day to day problem solving. I selected or recommended all the plant equipment for the upgrade of the Raleigh Division. This included establishing all plant design and operating specifications, and publishing these specifications to the Division Staff. Completed all site accessions for 20 new hubs added during the system upgrade, including negotiating all easements and purchases. Also designed the sites and managed the construction and upfit of the properties. This included the installation of -48 volt power plants in most sites. I developed a plan for managing the tower space in the Raleigh Division that resulted in $350,000 in annual revenue. The plan ensures that proper tower maintenance is performed as needed and was used as a model for a company wide deal. I was a technical resource to the Plant Managers and other groups on a variety of technical issues including basic and advanced cable television.
