While at the RPB I worked as both the fermentation & packaging operator. As the fermentation operator, I oversaw the yeast collection and pitch rates as well as performed daily monitoring of the fermentation process for all brews. As the packaging operator, I ran the bottling line and pasteurizer ensuring a high-quality finished product. Both positions demanded stellar communication between operators of process areas both up and downstream of my own as well as a detail-oriented mindset. I additionally served as the assistant safety manager in which I performed various safety-related tasks including but not limited to all safety-related audits (shower stations, hoses, ladders, exit signs), safety walkthroughs with new hires, and biweekly safety meetings.

I began working at Redhead Lakeside Grill in 2016 at the age of 16. Over my five summers of employment, I worked as a busser, was promoted to food expediter, and finally was promoted to server. Being employed in the restaurant industry helped me develop soft skills by working with a diverse group of people which drastically improved my teamwork and interpersonal skills. I had to provide friendly service while being quick on my feet and adapting to any situations out of my control. It was a fast-paced and social environment that helped to make me a well-rounded individual.
