Dr Mark Elliott is a chartered practising geologist with more than 45 years of experience in the minerals and energy sectors covering gold, base metals, iron ore, mineral sands, coal, petroleum and geothermal energy working in Australia and overseas. He has 27 years experience in corporate roles as Chairman and Managing Director on a number of ASX-listed and private companies, where he has been associated with identifying and securing quality resource projects, associated capital raisings, marketing and completing commercial agreements, feasibility studies and mine development along with building experienced quality exploration and development teams. Some projects previously part-owned or managed by Mark have been brought into production (McKinnon's Gold Mine in New South Wales, Middlemount Coal U/G Mine in Queensland or are advancing to development (Donald Mineral Sands project in Victoria). Under Mark's management, Hot Rock Limited secured three of the top conventional volcanic geothermal projects in Peru that may be developed in the future by major geothermal company, EDC. Mark is currently chairman of ASX-listed Auking Mining Limited and director of Astron Corporation Limited and Nexus Minerals Limited along with the role of Managing Director of Victorian Geothermal Energy Company.
