Modis/NordstromServer System Engineer/Server Build Engineer 9/2014 to presentWorking with Nordstrom to bring their server builds in house. I was responsible for working the server build process and finding automate and ways to with other teams to make smooth transitions between in house team. Some of the technology I worked with on a day to day basis was. Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, VMWare ESXi 5.x, Redhat /5.5 web agent RHEL 5.X and 6.x, I also did some scripting in chef and PowerShell and a little Ruby. Along with developing some tools for automations, I wrote scripts to add machine account to AD OU's and some script to pull Server Descriptions out of AD and vsphere client with VMware vSphere PowerCLI . I used allot of the in house software to help develop a better tracking system to monitor new builds. I wrote cookbooks, runlist for Chef to assist in builds with infrastructure on new servers being added to the nordstrom.net domains, Microsoft System Center Tools and Source control (git, visual studio) along with MSSC , SCOM and NetBackup. I worked heavily in the Esmart/Remedy tool for both work flow and ticket management along with change management and SLA Monitoring.
