On my return from Gambia in 1994, I was seconded to the office of Honorable Minister of Petroleum Resources (HMPR) as Adviser on security matters (1995-1996). I was granted leave of absence by Nigerian Army headquarters to pursue University degree program at Nigeria's premier university, the University of Ibadan in 2001. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology (2001) with honors and a Master of Science degree in Criminology (2002-2003). Between June 2005 and August 2006, I was deployed to serve in United Nations mission in Liberia (UNMIL) as the deputy military information officer for Sector-1. On my return, I was deployed at Nigerian Army Presidential guards Brigade intelligence unit as operations officer. Finally, I voluntarily retired from Nigerian Army in 2007.
