Santee Cooper Plant Winyah FGD Enhancements Project and CCR / ELG Project (4 x 290 MW Coal fired Units). Main Project Deliverables: Make Plant Winyah achieve regulatory compliance with Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) and Effluent Limitations Guidelines (ELG) rules and regulations as well as to provide FGD upgrades and system optimization. Responsible for providing mechanical deliverables on schedule and budget; attending design reviews and project meetings; supporting all the discipline leads, supporting engineering and drafting team with layout and design; answering requests for information (RFI); reviewing and approving specifications, calculations, general arrangements, equipment setting plans, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), piping isometric drawings, bid documents, technical evaluations, cost estimates, and determining out of scope items. Southern Company Plant Gorgas Baghouse Project (3 Coal-fired units, 1021 MW Total)The project consisted of a 2 casing, 20 compartment pulse jet fabric filter (PJFF) baghouse, two (2) 2,200,000 CFM two stage axial booster fans, booster fan inlet and outlet dampers, one (1) activated carbon injection (ACI) system, one (1) lime injection system, one (1) ash byproduct system) and for WorleyParsons to design all of the supporting equipment and systems including the following mechanical items: 44’ x 27’ flue gas ductwork, horizontal pumps, sump pumps, agitators, piping, valves, ductwork and piping expansion joints, maintenance platforms, 40 ton booster fan motor hoists, 10 ton booster fan hub bridge crane, potable water system including emergency showers and eye/face washes, service water system, service air and instrument air system, waste water system, HVAC system, fire protection system, seal air system, sanitary system, and vacuum system.Completed the Southern Company Plant Scherer Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Addition Project (4 x 923 MW Coal-fired Units)

Southern Company Plant Scherer Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Addition Project (4 x 923 MW Coal fired Units)Tasks included system responsibility for the FGD limestone slurry transfer system, gypsum slurry transfer system, return water system, make-up water system, FGD damper seal air system, and the HVAC system. Equipment responsibility included limestone and gypsum slurry pumps, return water pumps, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks, and FRP tank agitators. Responsible for developing the $200,000,000 Unit 3, 4, and Common Mechanical / Structural Prime Scope of Work Construction Package, as well as other construction packages for FGD and SCR systems. Developed scope of work documents, process and instrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, piping loss calculations for pump sizing, piping and ductwork insulation calculations, HVAC calculations and drawings, equipment lists, and data sheets. Helped prepare system description and design basis documents, design criteria documents, and the FGD scope book.

Managed HVAC projects for clients including GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and Kutztown University coordinating the work of architects with mechanical, electrical and structural engineers.Designed heating, cooling and ventilation systems for schools, commercial buildings, laboratories, warehouses, and maintenance facilities.Worked on dust collection and clean room design projects for pharmaceutical and computer chip companies from start to finish.
