When I was younger, my parents had a book series called; Understanding Human Behavior. I was fascinated by the books and would read then observe people around me, asking so many questions about what makes people do what they do, how we learn, what we retain and how we perceive things. Fast forward to the year 2000 when I wanted to go into advertising, but the big push at the time was computer related studies - so I got into IT. It wasn't long before I realized that - I just don't have an IT personality. After school, the market was saturated with IT professionals and it was challenging finding positions in the field, so I got into sales. I was just an average salesperson, but because I loved working with people, I would assist all the new sales agents when they would join the team. It wasn't long before my superiors recognized my supportive nature and pushed me towards training. I was hesitant at first but accepted the challenge. I always knew I was good at breaking things down for people to make it easy to understand, mainly because that is how I understand things, but what I didn't realize was how much my knowledge of human behavior would help me to excel in the world of learning and development.That was 14 years ago and I've been a part of learning and development ever since. In that time, I've facilitated training around the world, developed training courses, managed training projects, coordinated and implemented learning strategies, managed training and content teams, conducted thousands of coaching sessions and as a senior eLearning advisor I planned and rolled out a national eLearning strategy. Growth is my passion, and anything that I can do to help myself, people around me and businesses grow to maximize their potential, sign me up! I absolutely enjoy hearing different perspectives and learning new things. I am a Law of attraction advocate, and I love to inspire and be inspired. Hope one day we can inspire each other!
