Engineering is more than just working on technical details - it's a calling.As a system architect for mechanics & mechatronics at Carl Zeiss SMT, my calling is to push the boundaries of what is technologically possible. By designing the upcoming generations of high-precision lithography systems for semconductor manufacturing, we're working right at the heartbeat of the digitalization of the world.After learning the ropes of automotive thermal management systems and components in Stuttgart, I have found a new home in the seminconductor manufacturing industry. Starting out at metrology systems, within a few years I could branch out to mechanical design of optomechatronical modules and later towards system architecture of full projection optics systems. With strong focus on system engineering, mechanics & mechatronic design, I can contribute my part to pushing the boundaries of lithography and creating the upcoming generation of chip manufacturing machines.Elevating technology to a new level is just one part of the story. My other main motivation is to work with people and try to support them in reaching new levels as well. This applies not only to leading the technical teams in our projects but also extends outside of the workspace. As a part of alumni network of the "Talent im Land" school stipendium program, I'm also trying to bring inspiration to my younger peers and open up new possibilities for them.After all, being a good engineer is not only about having a clever mind but also about having lots of heart
