Very rewarding company to work for: I initially planned to work here for 12 months but ended up doing nearly six years before contracting. I provided the technical lead on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects. Involved the design and implementation of software to support the management of retail data for large third-party clients. Included the development and implementation of systems to reduce retail shrinkage through cashier fraud and error via the analysis of EPOS data.

Responsibility for the 24/7 operation of the DB2 and Sybase databases underlying the jungle.com website in both Solaris and NT environments. Projects included ETL for online stock catalogues sourced from multiple suppliers, bespoke search engine, migration project from Sybase to DB2.
