Mark has over 40 years of experience as a founding entrepreneur, senior systems engineer and software architect/director. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science at California State University and has been given the CSU Chico Distinguished Alumni award by the School of Engineering. He is the Founder of YOUnite; makers of a patented data governance and data unification platform.He is a native Californian with considerable technical expertise, business development and software development experience in both Silicon Valley, Japan and India. Previously, he was the co-founder of Tidalwave Technologies (merged with Veritas Software -- now Symantec), which developed FirstWatch, the #1 high-availability/clustering software for the Solaris (Sun Microsystems) operating system - later migrated to Veritas Cluster Server. He spent the previous ten years as a senior systems engineer with Sun Microsystems, Data General Corporation and was hired on as Steve Jobs Systems Engineer at NeXT. Mark is an expert in the areas of Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Data Integration/Unification and has several patents related to these areas.
