Use of AutoCAD 2017 and AutoCAD Electrical 2018 to create and amend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID),building layout drawings showing general items; production lines, proposal drawings for new and existing machines, working closely with engineers. In addition to more specific detail drawings; fire safety plans, location of fire extinguishers, fire exits, Safety, Health and Environmental Management (S.H.E.) drawings, showing locations of potential hazardous areas in the workspace, and how they are addressed, locations of emergency showers and eye baths, etc., explosion-proof zoning.Documentation pertaining to engineering and drafting; given a solo project to create a new drawing numbering system such that every drawing can be immediately identified for its site location, function, type of drawing, floor level and sequence number. This numbering system approved by Engineering and promoted by the Director of Engineering to be used globally, not just at local level.Creating and amending company Drafting procedures, updating to include time saving commands and ethics, knowledge sharing to better the performance of each of the team members.

Use of AutoCAD 2013 LT to create building layouts, floor plans, machined part drawings including reverse engineering, live CAD for meetings and on-the-fly changes to suit alternate ideas. Measuring devices including spool wound tape, sonic and laser measuring devices.Use of Word and Excel to create inventory and capacity information for company move from WI to OH. Company liaison and supervisor with company workers at both ends, also with members of moving company to insure safe and speedy delivery of manufacturing and office equipment.Interdepartmental communications between all members, from company president through shop floor plant workers.Procuring parts as required for immediate maintenance repair or improvement due to employee safety or office improvement.

Use of AutoCAD Land Development Desktop 2i to interpolate field acquired data into physical building and lot dimensions to show building and lot layouts and floor plans, lot easements, location of pipelines, etc. designed for use during property purchase.

Based in the International Engineering department. Product design from flat wire including; wave springs, “Spirolox” style retaining rings, expanders, and laminar seal rings. Materials for temperature and corrosion (to SAE, AMS, AISI, regulations). Design per customer request and cost evaluation. Tech support by phone and e-mail. Liaisons with international customers, also manufacturing to insure correct product details portrayed. Evaluation of manufacturability of products, manufacture rates, product feasibility, and any necessary problem solving. Working with customers to design custom applications to improve their designs, save space, reduce cost and/or weight of the application as a whole, and reduce unnecessary machining for the customer. Understanding of PPAP, DFAR, Cpk & Ppk, etc. Responsible for department procedures and training of new employees. International trade shows.

Use of AutoCAD 2000 for rotary union and core holding (expanding shaft) design through complete manufacture. Machining and assembly drawings, support materials and use of programs for rotary union design and manufacture. Quality Assurance documentation for manufacture and assembly to company standards. Liaisons with customers and vendors. Working with R&D department, including design applications with metals (ferrous and non-ferrous), plastics and ceramics.

Use of Cadkey 98 in the areas of sheet metal design, electrical drawings, layout design and schematic diagrams, equipment layout, machining drawings including welding details.

Use of AutoCAD release 13 in the areas of layout design, machining drawings some electrical work, process flow diagrams. Design of existing customer parts, redesign, modification and improvement of parts, including retro-fit and custom parts to better suit existing machines.

Heat exchanger products. Working in Quality Assurance. Ordering materials, equipment and services for both office and workshop purposes. Use of office equipment including computers, CAD system, facsimile and telephone/reception duties.

Workshop experience in machine assembly primarily, lathework, milling, welding, piping and some casting. Working to engineering drawings, understanding the machine operation, use of machine and hand tools.
