This project began as a request to build a simple employee availability data gathering system, and has grown into a comprehensive suite of applications handling nearly every aspect of operating a moving business.Major Accomplishments:Planned, designed, and supervised the conversion of all software systems from a single-client model to a SAAS model. This involved factoring the database structure, as well as touching nearly every piece of code in all the applications. The project took several months and was completed with no loss of data or service interruptions for the original customer.Built a flexible message automation system which can send push notifications (using Firebase Messaging), text messages (through Twilio) and email (using Google’s GMail API) in response to user-defined parameters. For example, when a new request for quote is received, a series of email and text messages can be sent to the potential client over time which responds to the status of the quote in the system.Built an integration with Stripe Connect which allows Clients (moving companies) to collect payments for moving services directly through the Move Details mobile and desktop applications. Additionally, clients’ customers can pay booking deposits and account balances directly via the company web portal.

www.structuredpracticejournal.comResponding to my own need for a better music practice journal system, I created a web application for the task.Initial prototype system was built using Python/Flask on the Google App Engine platform, and was for my own use only. From there I expanded it to be used by my own students, then began offering it to the public as a paid subscription service.Once the concept was proven and working, I built an Angular progressive web application & Cloud Firestore back end to replace the server-side Python app.

Ryadh based startup offering services similar to Doordash, remote position.Initially contracted to build Angular web application for internal analytics and administrative tasks. The application handled all Client, Driver, and Order management, and provided a full suite of analytics on company performance. This included some extensive integrations with the Google Maps API to provide order routing information, heatmaps of revenue by location, etc.Additional analytics were provided by channeling data through Google BigQuery and using MetaBase on that data. When this system became cost-prohibitive, I built a stand-alone Docker machine which used PostgreSQL to replace BigQuery, along with a self-hosted MetaBase installation, reducing costs by over 90%.Maintained and expanded Firestore/NodeJS/Cloud Functions based back end. The system handled the full order lifecycle: Clients submitted orders (via mobile app), nearby Drivers notified, Driver accepted job, then tracked driver location through product pickup and delivery.Built integration with HyperPay (enabling customers to pay and drivers to be paid).During the height of the Covid pandemic, the Saudi government required the company to provide accurate real-time information on the status and location of all drivers using the platform. Due to the requirements of the system, and the extreme urgency of the project, I designed and built a node.js middleware system (in a Docker server environment) which interfaced between the Shadda Cloud Firestore database and the Saudi Government tracking system.
