I lead a global team focusing on the delivery of high quality products with a zero defect culture to our customers. With manufacturing locations across the globe, I'm actively transforming the way we do business to drive more effective collaboration, cooperation and communication between the sites, the business units and across all of our business practices. Using a Hoshin Kanri approach, we drive actions that fulfill our long term objectives while constantly reviewing and acting on data to monitor effectiveness and progress towards our goals. Through these initiatives, we improved quality across all of our major KPI's. I work hard to ensure that my team and those around me are encouraged, empowered and enabled to address today's challenges and prepared for tomorrow's opportunities.In addition, I created and lead a global manufacturing automation team to identify and deliver automated manufacturing solutions to improve quality, lower cost, increase production throughput, and lessen the dependency on human resources. I focus on driving and encouraging communication, collaboration and coordination within the team and across our regional sites to optimize operational efficiencies as a team.

Foxconn is the world's largest electronics manufacturing company with a very diverse set of customers, capabilities and resources. In my role, I work on a very wide and diverse set of projects including 8K video, advanced manufacturing, business analysis, new business pursuits and technology reviews. Adaptability, continued learning and agility are key attributes that define my position.

On the side, I do custom metal working, including design and fabrication. I've done work for all kinds of customers including schools, clubs, events, churches, offices, businesses, and restaurants. I really enjoy helping people bring their ideas to life - often well beyond their expectations. At the heart of my shop is a CNC plasma cutting system but one of my favorite tools is my anvil dating back to the 1850's that was owned by my great great Grandfather. My metal working provides a creative escape and an opportunity to push myself to learn new things- two things that definitely influence my professional career as well. With the growth of "Big Data", I now lead an effort within the HP tape division on positioning tape as the lead technology for deep archive I identify and drive the development of new solutions that help customers solve their archive and long term storage problems. Using tape-as-NAS functionality, I continue to explore and exploit this the new use case opportunity. I write numerous blogs for HP focusing on tape technology. My job includes advanced technology research, program management, business strategy, and customer engagement. Leading the way with LTFS, I'm helping to architect the business strategy for HP StoreOpen. Driving new partnerships and solution intitiatives is part of my overall responsibilites as well. Key software partners include QStar, Quantum StoreNext, SGL, Storage DNA, among many others. Key customers include Dreamworks, West Coast Customs, Red Camera, Bandito Bros, Digital Film Tree and many others. Working with a team of people all across HP, we are helping HP become the leader in supplying Hollywood with leading-edge technology solutions.

Promoted to lead and develop a new test organization consisting of multiple engineering teams across multiple geographical locations. Reduced substantial cost and increased test effectiveness through new test procedures and organizational structure. Successfully added a software business unit and an SMB product to the organization with limited increase in resources. Promoted to lead manager for the Houston nearline test activities. Responsible for interoperability of HP nearline products in complex environments that included a variety of platforms, operating systems, storage, network and SAN infrastructure and software. Increased software support for HP nearline products through the creation and deployment of the Partner Lab. Increased customer awareness and simplified customer experience relating to backup practices and procedures through better web page management and documentation. Reduced number of customer escalations year-over-year through better testing and engagement with field support teams. Developed processes to manage and track on-going changes to the storage eco system while maintaining tape connectivity. Increased focus on advanced business solutions for backup to help establish HP as a thought leader in the industry. Developed engineering staff and program managers to meet the demands of changing technologies and grow professionally. Encouraged and rewarded teamwork and meeting high operational standards.

Provided engineering support and technical engagement with the vendor for the first switching fibre channel arbitrated loop hub product. Developed test procedures and techniques to verify adherence to specification and solution interoperability as part of the first shared tape library solution in the industry.

Developed new role to interface between Operations Engineering and Design Engineering to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing. Created documentation to govern, identify and track activities.
