I have over 10 years of experience in the social work field, continually seeking advancement through trainings and career progression. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, having volunteered at multiple organizations throughout my undergraduate career and working part time throughout my undergraduate career. I obtained my Master of Social Work from Texas State University in order to advance my career as a social worker, having obtained status of Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas. I have accrued a significant amount of relevant experience, having worked for the Texas State Government with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, internationally as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer, local non-profits, medical social work, and most extensively providing mental health services through case management, individual, and group therapy. I have received specialized training for individual and group therapy, having been trained in Aggression Replacement Training when working with children and their families and completed Foundational Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Training through Behavioral Tech.I am familiar in working with individuals, groups, and families in long term and short term treatment settings, such as emergency rooms, individually, and in an intensive outpatient program. I have direct experience working with individuals to provide treatment for a variety of mental health disorders, such as substance use disorders, suicidal ideation, suicidal gestures, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I am highly skilled at managing workflow and have created several programs, utilizing Microsoft Access for maintaining records.
