Present upon the installation and commissioning of a new Hasties four ram hydraulic steering gear unit.1983-1984 Served as Junior Engineer on M.V. Farland andM.V. Salmonpool as assistant watch keeper.1984-1987 Served as Fourth Engineer on the above named vessels and also M.V. Appleby. In charge of the running and maintenance of ships centrifugal separators and air compressors.1987-1989 Served as Third Engineer on all Ropner vessels.In charge of auxiliary engine and main engine routine maintenance and full overhauls. Keeping to strict planned maintenance schedules.1990-1991 Served as Second Engineer on all the above named vessels and also stood by the building of a new self-discharging bulk carrier in Japan,(M.V. Eastern Bridge) and sailing back with her to the U.K.In charge of the daily running of ships engine room machinery and crew.
