Project Manager working for Eaton Ltd – Hydraulics division to oversee installation of a fully automated CNC Milling Cell, as part of an internal investment strategy allowing for significant cost out activities i.e. removal of legacy assets and insourcing of parts from external vendors.

■ Leadership - Complete leadership of the operational product area from Tender through initial Engineering, manufacturing and to product input into Stores. ■ Strategy Development – Develop a strategy plan to deliver all operational requirements. Detailed understanding of manufacturing capacity and improvement plans with complimentary outsourcing to key suppliers.■ Operations Execution – This role requires a high level of management and leadership skill, working closely with all direct reports and their teams – Tendering, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning Department, Materials, Manufacturing, Project Teams and Outsourcing suppliers. ■ Analysis of Process – Fully understand Akers Subsea rationale of “make versus buy” and build an effective case for outsourcing any of the build functions. Fully analyse and report on all related KPIs that support outsourcing (Costs, Quality, Delivery). Negotiating best prices and value for money for Aker Subsea is key.■ Product Quality – Take full responsibility for the quality of our product throughout the Execution Stages. Yield analysis of product failure with root cause analysis and improvement plans. Engender a Right First Time culture across all team functions and processes. Build inline capability, negating responsibility on internal and external QC functions■ Process Integrity – Take full ownership for the processes and systems that deliver the product to the customer. Regularly review all internal processes to ensure full compliance to technical, customer and legislative requirements. Drive improvement in all areas to improve efficiencies in productivity, right first time, employee utilisation and overall cost base. ■ Finance – Effectively manage the budget for the product delivery areas. Maintain and manage agreed headcount ensuring that labour utilisation and efficiencies are high visible and challenged.
