I am the lead technologist heading up the development of MakuSafe's newest wearable technology. I use my background in electronics, embedded systems, IoT, firmware and software development along with my experience in cloud computing to innovate new ways of collecting workplace safety data. I work closely with other firmware engineers, circuit designers and cloud software developers to mature our robust ecosystem that can monitor the safety conditions around a worker and help to predict the next safety incident.

I was a cloud architect helping companies understand cloud computing and more specifically IBM's Platform as a Service (PaaS) Bluemix - and how it could make a difference in their organizations. I used my experience with Internet of Things (IoT), electronics, embedded systems, firmware development, cloud computing and software development to demonstrate cloud capabilities. I gave lots of presentations, demos and worked on many Proof of Concepts (PoCs) with customers.

I worked within the IBM Software Group as a technical generalist across the 5 different IBM software brands. I had only a few assigned large customers in the financial sector and focused on long term planning, solving difficult technical problems at the enterprise level and building relationships with decision makers. It was a job with lots of technical diversity and plenty of relationship management.

I wore a number of hats at ABCV. Primarily I spent my time in business development and helping existing contracts to be successful. I did a full year of billing as a Program Manager over a $7.4M project. I lead a team of over 200 individuals in a Medical Insurance project (consisting of 5 individual projects and 7 project managers). I reported directly to the VP of Marketing. I also spent most of my time selling services and overseeing projects as a PM.

During my time at PRMI, I lead a team of 20+ Progress and Java developers and later worked as a Senior Architect conducting oversight and planning. PRMI was sold to CitiGroup and I jumped ship instead of being relocated to St. Louis.

I was a road-worrier at Progress, traveling most weeks to conduct consulting assessments whose outcome was a detailed SOW describing a consulting engagement. During that time I became an expert adviser in integrating Java and Progress technologies. I eventually quit this job due to the high level of travel and the anticipation of our second child.
