Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor
Supervised Team Leads/Team Members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. Responsible for the site facility, an industrial bakery, during the midnight shift (23:00-07:00) including receiving, production, finishing, sanitation, maintenance, and warehousing.Plan and assign work; implement policies and procedures; recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, and operating procedures; and ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, I balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results as well as report and monitor departmental measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to management.Manage effective team member relations and have responsibility for coaching, development, accountability, and conflict resolution for up to 70 full time team members and 30 temporary contractors. Study production schedules and estimated worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.Initiate and participate in incident investigations and perform corrective action when required as well as assist in internal audits to ensure compliance with IFS, OSHA, and AIB methods, policies, and procedures.

Effectively utilize PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, SAP, and the PDCA cycle of root cause analysis. Effective change agent championing numerous process and procedural improvements in addition to several commissioning/validation/start-up projects. Possess in-depth knowledge of operational area and recognized as proficient in multiple technologies including process, packaging, and warehousing/shipping operations. Perform system change-over and set up. Troubleshoot and repair high-speed packaging and manufacturing equipment. Complete Preventative Maintenance. Fabricate parts using mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, & band saws. Member of site First Response Team. Certified Confined Space Rescue Team, First Aid Team (CPR/Oxygen certified), and Fire Brigade Team Leader.
