About Mark Gammon
Hello!My name is Mark Gammon and I’m a former Defense Scientist, specializing in Underwater Warfare and Operations Research and Analysis. I have over 32 years working for the Canadian Department of National Defense in both Ottawa, Ontario and Halifax Nova Scotia. I spent a 5 year hiatus living with my Turkish spouse in Istanbul Turkey, where, after becoming Fluent in Turkish I received my PhD in Naval Architecture specializing in Multi-Objective Optimization using Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks, or the precursor to AI. I have enjoyed a long career solving diverse and challenging defense problems in operations particularly in Naval warfare and would like to extend my career by teaching in an area of expertise related to my Naval Architecture background. At the same time, I am open to defense analyst positions where I could contribute to global safety and security concerns. I am particularly good at developing concepts from scratch to unique problems.
