It ManagerMoon Security Services, Inc. Feb 2010 - PresentI created and maintain 4 office networks located around Washington state, which are all connected via a fiber converged network. I am responsible for the entire IT infrastructure, covering around 100 employees. This would include running wire to any place that needs a new drop along with any network device that gets connected to our network. My department maintains the following equipment: PCs, monitors, laptops, printers, switches, routers, WAPs, IDS, IPS, POE cameras, firewalls and a VOIP Phone system. I’ve worked with several different phone systems including Mitel, ShoreTel, and Tadiran. I am knowledgeable in many different switches, routers, and firewalls and how to configure each of them appropriately, including but not limited to HP, Netgear, Dell EMC, Trendnet, Peplink and SonicWalls. All company software gets vetted through IT or we help decide the path the company will take on any new software. Currently, IT also works with Marketing to provide images, fliers, business cards and many other photoshop needs. Every year I plan the fiscal budget for IT and make the choices needed to keep the company running smoothly.

During this time, I created and maintained the Active Directory environment, along with securing the network. With the addition of new firewalls, I was able to set up a faster and more secure path between our current branch offices. As I continued in this role, I created and maintained a network in our offices that allowed for increased security of remote connections, and office file systems. I had to setup networked printers, PCs, laptops, alarm dispatch equipment, Mitel VOIP system, an Exchange environment, and general file share area that users could use to collaborate effectively.

Central DispatcherMoon Security Services, Inc. Feb 2004 - Feb 2006I was hired to be a dispatch operator, knowing that I would also be doing IT work as time allowed. I would dispatch on all types of alarms, including burglary, fire, and panics. I was also trained to be the download operator for checking install programming for all new installs and doing general code changes. During this time, I mainly focused on setting up the office network, and creating a more friendly environment for shared data. They did not have any IT personnel at this time, so I often filled in this role, which lead into the Network Administrator position.
